Crystallised’ is a light sculpture that creates a cyclic light-scape within its environment. It uses the law of internal reflection to trap a rotating laser beam inside a crystal-like structure. Depending on the angle of the entering laser beam, the light is refracted and reflected by the optics and thereby creating a light environment that is always in flux. The sculpture, like a satellite, hangs in space and its fragile structure and motion creates an animated shadow of itself that displaces the viewer – evoking a floating sensation within the environment.
